Apparently they aren't selling actual dresses that the models modeled. It's so misleading! If they really wanna do imitations, seriously, they really ought to do a better job. The quality is so bad that i think i would probably even be happier buying from psr mlm. One of the dress, the pink is a complete different pink from the photo and worst, nobody could even fit in that dress! not even my slim petite friend! well, probably a 5 year old could. In the photo, a very tall model is wearing it. But the real thing, the dress seems to be shrunk dua kali ganda. Meanwhile, the other white dress, it's so transparent that lingerie could be seen so fairly clear (when the material in the pic looks so much thicker).

SO, since they have a shop. I asked if I could exchange it at their shop. However, they told me their shop have the same 'Not exchangeable nor refundable' policy. Wth!! I would have accepted their T&C if the reason for wanting to exchange is subjective or the size don't fit me (as I could give it to my slimmer sister) as long as they sell the exact same dress in the picture, but this dress is a reject!

I don't know bout rest of the clothes since I only bought 2. But i'll nv dare buying from them again. Take it that I just drop RM60 into sea waters. So please don't be deceived by it's professional looking website.

A Professional Mistake

A friend forwarded this to me. Judging from the life story told by all my friends working in the Big 4, it's just so true!

Subject: A professional mistake - a must read article for AUDITOR

A professional mistake
Your alarm rings, signalling another brand new day. You get up, looking forward for another new day of challenge, another new day to learn. After washing up, you put on your office outfit, giving you that professional look, one that you believe many out there envy. Breakfast follows(perhaps), and you head off to your office. You’re one of the earliest to arrive, ahead of all your superior and when they come in later, they greet you and you feel all charged up for another productive day. Plenty to do and learn and hence, you are prepared to stay back late to do all that is necessary.

If you’re currently doing a degree in finance, accounting or law, the above is probably what you’ve been waiting for all these years. You work your ass off (well… most of you) in university because it’s your dream to join one of those big glamorous firms out there in the market. Lawyers and accountants are the usual suspects for this curse. Once graduated, all of them will run like headless chicken towards those big firms. If you’re an accounting student… you want to be an auditor in one of the Big-4 right?

Well, if you do make it, it’s like a dream come true. In such firms, you get a personal computer, maybe a notebook (wow!). All your stationeries are free, and it’s also the first time you step into a ‘pantry’, where you can make your own coffee, just like those nice offices in TVB series. Next, you get an exclusive e-mail, the domain after your name is not the ordinary @gmail.com or @hotmail.com or @yahoo.com… No, it’s not, it’s your-name@a-big-and-glamorous-firm.com. You can’t wait to tell that to your friend.

Then comes the feeling of giving a business card with your name on it, and it’s not any other business card, it’s one with your name on it, it’s onethat signifies you’re an employee with a-big-and-glamorous-firm. And… the word below your name is not a lowly “accounts executive”… the word below your name is exclusive… the word below your name is… “Associate”. And when your friend gives you the “Wow, you’re an associate with this firm?”… you get into instant orgasm.

3 or 6 months into your job, you will then be experiencing the euphoria of saying… I-am-very-busy… I-have-a-lot-work…I-worked-till-very-late-last-night…I-can't-make-it-for-the-gathering-cos-I-have-to-work-this-weekend. Yeah, it’s an euphoria because to you, it’s a privilege to be busy, it’s very cool to work late, you’re very proud to work in during weekends. When you utter such words, a sense of arrogance and pride radiates from you. You feel great because working so hard means you learnt a lot of things, those not in the professional industry somehow looks lowly to you. You feel big, you feel you’re a level smarter than them. Reality will tend to sink in within 2 years or so, though the duration seems to be getting shorter and shorter now with the younger generation.

First, you will probably ask yourself, how come a graduate like you must do all sorts of donkey jobs such as photocopying, checking invoices, going through piles and piles of documents and filing. You will also be wondering how come your superior whom you once looked up to have to suck up to clients. Oh yeah… most all clients are unreasonable.

If you’re an accountant, you will probably realise that there is no such thing called a ‘balance’ sheet. It’s balanced because you did the balancing act so that your big boss can sign on it and certify it as ‘true and fair’.Yeah… signing on accounts, the job that you once dreamed of… isn’t exactly all a bed of roses. You then realise that you will probably never reach that “just-need-to-sign-only stage” but hey… it’s ok, you probably hate that job by now. When you tell your client something, chances are you are just as blur and confused as them. But you have to act as though you’re an expert because you’re the con-sul-tant. This is just a glimpse of it.

Now, all the late nights and irregular meals will probably cause you to age 8 years in 2 years. Those I-am-very-busy… I-have-a-lot-work…I-worked-till-very-late-last-night…I-can't-make-it-for-the-gathering-cos-I-have-to-work-this-weekend will take its toll on your body and it will show. You will probably look very skinny…or very far… you will certainly look old and worn out. Working late and spending weekends in the office is no longer a cool thing but absolute stupidity. But hey… you will still have to do it, because there’s still much work to be done.

By now, all your friends who ended up as salesmen or doing other things except being a professional, those whom you felt superior to are driving anything but a proton. But for you, it’s time to think whether you should buy a proton cause your perodua is beginning to give you problems. Of course, if your father is a well-connected fella, things can be different. But if you’re not, tough luck. You’ll be wondering how come you’re generally under-paid. Those exposure and learning curve that you once craved for are no longer relevant. You want to make more money. But unless you’re a partner of the glamorous firm, money can be a lil tough to come by.

At this point of time, probably after 3, 4 or 5 years, you finally realise that document (click on this link!) you signed when you first joined the glamorous firm was nothing but lies. Then, you decide to ply your trade in the commercial world, you leave the glamorous firm. You think joining a commercial firm will bring about a good change, not knowing that such a move means you switched from being a ‘profit centre’ to a ‘cost centre’. One of the main effects of the switch is that you will be working doubly hard compared to the profit centre, which probably includes a lot of late nights too… but your salary and bonus is much lower compared to the profit centre. What does this mean… a story for another time.

One thing's for sure… your morning will now be something like…

Your alarm rings, signalling another day… another weekday. You get up, after snoozing the alarm a million and one times. You hope today is Friday, but it’s not, and you feel like shit. You think of a million and one reasons to take MC, but you realised you have to go to office because you failed to finish the report due today though you stayed till 10pm last night. You tell yourself you need to change jobs, just like how you have been telling yourself in the last 1 year. Once in office, you’re in a dilemma cause you want time to go slower so that you can finish your work but yet, you want time to go faster so that you can leave the office and go for lunch.

During lunch, you will bitch with your colleagues about work and probably the bosses. You will all talk about so many people who seem to be doing so well except for you. You realised you should have done something else while in university. You realised you may have made a mistake in life… a mistake in being a professional… you have made… a professional mistake.

Author,
Zewt
(www.zewt.blogspot.com)

Garmin nüvi® 205W GPS Navigator

Dear friends and to all road blunders,

I know a fren who's currently selling Garmin Nuvi 205w GPS Navigator for just RM800. Lady Luck just doesn’t seem to be anywhere near. Was going to meet Kimberly, Lisa, Gillian and her bf (Kelvin) at Mid Valley, and to my horror, the parking lots in every zone were full! Aside from jamming all the way into Zone C, I spent 45 minutes circling the parking area in hope of finding a spot. Since I’m not staying in MV for very long, I decided to just leave my car at the car wash centre and allow my car to have its spa treatment it deserved (hv not been washing my car ever since I got back from China XD). As soon as I thought I solved my parking problem and got out of the car smiling, the guy there told me, “Sorry, car wash services here are ONLY FOR MEMBERS.”

To top it all, I lost my parking ticket!

Anyway, I somehow managed to squeeze my tiny little Kelisa (damn I love my car!) into a sloping, non-parking area completely blocking an exit door. Haiya… as long as I didn’t obstruct the traffic should be ok la….right? hehe. However, anyone coming out from that exit would need to climb onto my car roof in order to get out. I doubt anyone would take those secluded exits lor... No sign of shoe print on my car roof. Haha!

Coming back to the lost ticket, I was mentally prepared to pay the penalty and declare myself bankrupt for the day when Kimberly opposed my decision to do so. (Had a vivid reverie of Kim being a lawyer yelling, “No! We shall fight!”) She then shared with me about the amusing incident that happened to Japheth and Chung Siew at One Utama and how they avoided the Lost Parking Ticket penalty. Sorry la…I’m not sharing that story, otherwise everyone will start to imitate what they do. Hahaha! I can just say good acting skills are much required. =P

SO, me and my rescue team consisting of Kim, Gillian, and Kelvin, our brainstorm session came up with several plans and tactics:

Plan A : Take Kelvin’s parking ticket, slot it in the machine and exit while their vehicle follows close behind and pretend their ticket is consumed by the machine but the gate is not opening. So when the guard comes and check if you are really the owner of the ticket by asking questions such as entry time, we would know the answer, if the ticket was to be retrieved from the machine.

Plan dropped.
Reason: My car is parked in a different zone, which is not linked to the zone they parked at.

Plan B: Press a new ticket from the parking entrance auto-machine.

Plan dropped.
Reason 1: Japheth (well-experienced in losing parking tickets) executed the plan before and failed. Possibility of heavier object required for the sensor to be able to detect.
Reason 2: Neither one of us want our faces to be captured by the CCTV camera and be mistaken for a car thief.
Reason 3: We’ve all seen how Mr. Bean did it before in one of his episodes and know very well how silly and idiotic it would make us look.

Plan C : Drive Kelvin’s car to the parking entrance, get the ticket, then reverse his car out.

Plan dropped.
Reason 1: Cars would definitely already start building a long queue behind us before we could even reverse our car.
Reason 2: CCTV would be watching our every move and our action would raise suspicion.

Plan D : All four of us take my car, head to the exit, pretend to slot in the ticket into the machine and make a scene with the guard complaining the ticket is defective. Kelvin and Kim will take over the front seat of my car since they are much capable in portraying a poker face while me and Gillian will take the back seat (we admit we’re just lousy at it).

Success rate: 50%
Reason: Chances are the guard would just let us go instead of having us obstructing the traffic. If he really retrieved the previous ticket and ask us for the entry time, we would just answer we were here to have lunch and we don’t have a clue on the arrival time.

As we were taking our chances with Plan D, on our way to the car park, Kim suddenly came up with the ultimate Plan:

Plan E : Borrow her friend’s season parking pass. So coincidently her friend works in Mid Valley. My Saviour!!! Executed the plan and SUCCESS!

One tiny issue we’re worried about is, does the season pass (which functions like a Touch n Go card) permits the card owner to do a double exit? While our escape mission has been accomplished, my saviour could be stuck in the car park after work! So I bought him some chocolates to show my gratitude and in case if he REALLY gets stuck in the car park, it would at least help to prevent him from cursing me so much. >.<

Xiamen Riyuegu Hotspring (厦门日月谷温泉)

This is the first time I've ever had such luxurious 5-star hotspring experience. And I love it! Tropical paradise setting. Wonderful services and facilities. Wide range of hotsprings with different ingredient choices. 3 swimming pools. Rain would be fun if it's for just mere 15 minutes to an hour. But raining from morning to night is just unbearable. The worst so far is raining 3 days straight, non-stop. urghh. It just makes me lazy... and most of the time I'd just snug under my comforter. Plus, at this temperature it's turning my room into a freezer!

However, I still go for my usual ping-pong games to exercise. And they're sold at a very reasonable price too! Let me emphasize that again, VERY reasonab....I mean CHEAP! 1kg for only RM5-RM7!

RM5 for the smaller ones and RM7 for very large ones. I find the medium-sized ones to be more sweet and flavorful, thus i prefer them.

Have been having strawberries as part of my daily diet for the past 2 weeks. Berry berry sweet and delicious~ *slurps* (u guys can juz continue to jelez lar. wakaka)

Some tips and facts about Strawberries

-Once picked, they don’t ripen further. So, choose medium-sized berries that are firm, plump, and deep red, as they will provide the best taste and the highest nutrient density.

-They increase HDL (good) cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, and thus reduce risk of heart cancer. It also fight against breast, cervical and esophageal cancer.

-Strawberries score in the fruit group with the highest antioxidant values, which fight free radicals. These antioxidant properties are believed to be linked to what makes the strawberry bright red.

-Just one serving, about eight strawberries, provides more vitamin C than an orange.

May I have silky smooth complexion soon XD (I wish!)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hi guys!

Has been a while since i last blog. My finals are comin' up real soon on the 5th Jan and hence having my revision week at the moment. I won't be going back to Malaysia this winter break. Will save up my plane ticket $$ to travel elsewhere for vacation. hehehe. Haven't really decided where...but I'd really love to go to Hong Kong once again tho I've just been there 2 years ago. I still have not finish exploring Ocean Park the last time (due to the crowd)! SoOoo wanna go there again...

Anyways, coming back to Christmas. We had our X'mas Eve celebration at a fancy restaurant serving local dishes. Breath-taking scenery. But the food......*bleks* Surprisingly, the restaurant's business was freaking good (or maybe it's only for that particular night. haha). There were still a long queue of patrons even as late as 9p.m.! We're lucky as one of my friend made an early reservation.

I'm the only Malaysian there and the rest are all Thais. This whole level is conquered by their kind. haha! We had a little game before receiving our gifts. Each person's name is written on a piece of paper, folded and inserted into a box. Then we'd need to pick the name, of whose gift we're getting from, from the box. The catch? Beware of getting 'Gan Bei', or 'Bottoms up' in English, mixed among the names in the box. A friend had like 5 glasses of beer before getting his gift. Poor guy. I was lucky. I got a name the first try ^.^V But still they forced me to have a glass before giving me my gift. =.=

That's it for now. It was actually my dad's company trip and so I just tag along. This place is huge! Funny to see most of the girls wearing super high heels when they knew there would be a lot of walking to do. Tsk tsk...in the name of beauty...they rather suffer. They eventually gave up in the middle and walk bare foot though. Lol.

After millions of years, rocks turn into diamonds. My room here doesn't turn out to be that bad after all. After cleaning and stuffs, it's now so comfy!! hehe.

I thought I'd lead a mundane life here at first. On the contrary, this is quite an interesting place! Have not even started reading any of the novels I brought here>.< There's night market every night at Jimei Street, which is reachable within walking distance, as well as lots of good food just around the corner. Eventhough I've been here for 2 weeks already, I've yet to try our canteen food. haha! It's just so convenient here. I don't even need to go to the shopping complex to shop for my necessities!

Uni life is pretty hectic. We have classes from 8am to 4.30pm everyday. In the first week, we would need to memorize about 10 Mandarin characters daily. I've no problem coping in the first week...but 2nd week onwards is just crazy! We have to memorize at least 17 characters each day! T.T Wish me luck...Learning mandarin does need to put in lots of effort.

Oh Yeah! Happy Moon Cake Festival!! Moon Cake Festival is such a big thing here in China, thus the extra holiday on Monday. XD Joined my dad and his friends for the Chun Qiu Jie celebration dinner on Friday night. After dinner, it's their culture here to play dice games. It's more of a luck game I must say. They even have prizes ready for the winners! And I actually bagged away the ultimate gift! Won myself an air purifier machine!! =D haha! What luck!

Sorry for not posting any pics yet...will post them up soon=) Have to stop here now...

Tata!

P.S.: Will have internet connection in my room by this Tuesday. And...sad to say...my room sucks. So disappointed. I was expecting something better since the exterior design of the uni looks darn nice. The dormitories and rooms in UNMC are wayyyy........BETTER lor...

They first gave me the key to my 1st room, that was said to be in a newer dorm and was highly recommended by the staff. So, in our mind, 'new' is definitely always = to cleaner, better rooms. However, the place turns out to be very stuffy, filthy and dodgy looking. My excitement and enthusiasm to get into this uni suddenly just crash flat like pancake. I was like...."OH NOoooooOooo........."

So, I then requested to check out the so-called 'older' dorm, WHICH appears to be NEWER compared to the newer one! I was fuming inside. I wonder if that uni staff wanted to trick me into getting this room? or was it just a pure mistake?

I can survive with my new room in the older block... but still it isn't that great. The washroom is too small...=/

Classes starting on 1st September. The classrooms are all right. Located next to a lake, environment is peaceful. Sorry people, no photos available to be posted yet. =p

At the moment, I'm back in my dad's house in Quanzhou. Don't wanna leave my comfort zone so soon yet. Will only leave and start staying in uni on the 30th. Guess what? my room mate from Philippines has the exact same name as mine! (Great! now I'm feeling so special) Luckily different surname. Hers is Chang Sook Leng. haha.

I was told that I won't be having any internet access for my first 2 weeks in campus. Again, "NoooooOoooooo!!!" Dunno if I can believe that particular staff again... If it's true I would online to the max when I got home to my dad's place during the weekends. haha.

Have to stop here now...gotta get my beauty sleep! And hey! Flight departing at 9.45am and estimated to arrive the destination by 1.50pm. Have packed all my stuffs. I can't be too sure if i had really packed ALL my stuffs though. Each time I realized I'd have forgotten something I'd keep adding & add & add into my luggage bag. Now I worry if it would be overweight >.<

I even packed in Sambal Belacan as well as some Coffee and Mochachino packs. haha. Xiamen have neither coffeeshops nor mamaks for us to enjoy any coffee. Not to mention Starbucks! Sad huh? i think if i start a coffeeshop there im sure to earn big buck!!! No doubt there's a demand for it. Dad always gets us to send over Old Town White Coffee packages in bulk to be distributed to his friends there in China as gifts. He eventually taught everyone there to love coffee. And now they are addicted. Like drugs. lol. Reminds me of a sentence said by Mark in Ah Long Lmt., the Singapore movie, "Sekali try, tiap-tiap hari pun mau" (Once tried, wants it everyday).

Gosh...I'm missing my granny, mum and sis already... am gonna miss my grandma's cooking (im not being sarcastic. She's indeed a fantastic chef!), miss my mum's voice, & I miss my sister's snore (yes i share my room with my sis. And no lar... she don't snore loudly like a pig. It's just a soft cute snore that i can't help giggling over each time ^.^) and our girls talk. On the other hand, I'm eager to meet up with my dad in China soon! I really miss him...

Taman Connaught Accident (1st August 2008)

This is the accident that caused me to be LATE 40 minutes on my very 1st day of work for Acer's roadshow. My supervisor threatened to report this matter but thank god I managed to snap some pictures of the scene with my trusty handphone camera as evidence. Wahaha!

First day of work sudahlah leave bad impression. sobs sobs. Anyway, told myself that i should really start counting my blessings instead of whining. I should be thankful I didn't leave my house too early or I would probably be among the casualties from the accident. Also, being stucked in the jam saved me the 40 minutes torture from standing with my high heels. The terrible accident that snatches 2 lives reminds me how fragile life is. Learnt to be more careful on the road (esp. during this month, which is the seventh month of the Chinese Calender). Kiara

(Update for 19th July)

Sorry for the delay! Said that I would blog bout Hennessy Artistry but I’m just too lazy. Moreover, I didn’t have many nice pictures to share for this event…Thanks to my sister for removing the SD card from my camera. I simply stuffed in my very bulky n heavy SLR into my cute little bag only to find it without the SD card later that evening T.T So frustrating…Anyway, I think UncleJosh did a great job blogging bout it already. Check out his site!

I've never really like clubbing all these while as I can't really drink. I mean, I can drink but not a very good drinker. Never got drunk before. Don't know how it feels like. But I don't think I wanna try. Haha! Cheers with ice water the whole night... and everyone was like, "huh?? what's this? ICE water??" giving me the suspicious stare. And I would go, "no no! This is Hennessy Kiara. Made specially upon request!" Most of them knew it was a joke. But one actually believed me. And that was really funny! Lol.

I was mainly there for Machi's performances. Love their songs thus I wanted to get the 'feel' of it from watching them live. Thanks to the Joshuas (both Lim and Lee) for their kind invitation =D Great performances by all the stars. Overall, the whole event was very successful and well managed I must say.

However, I didn't quite enjoy the night very much. I have to admit that I am very shy. Oddly, I performed at school choirs and was brave enough to take part in singing contests (tho im not a fantastic singer). My shyness is situational. I react queerly during social events when faced with unfamiliar faces. Or maybe it would have been fun if my bestie(s) was/were there...or someone significant. haha. I'm just glad Peiman and Wilson (very nice people) were there to accompany me or it would have been a disaster. lol.

God must have heard my prayers when I was having troubles with transportion back home. Met a kind soul who came to my rescue =D Thank you Andrew! Owe you one!

Below are some photos taken by UncleJosh's new toy.

Me and Josh Lim. Was relief that I’d never need to sit for exams again and I can finally send all my lecture notes to the recycling bin. At the same time, it dawns on me that all of us may never be able to hang out like how we used to. Some friends would be back to their home town. Some would be working in Australia and some in Singapore. Everyone would start working and get busy with their lives.

“If life is a rat race, I am Minnie Mouse”, a statement made by Janice Wong, which I find it pretty amusing. haha. Time seems to be something we are all chasing after these days. Working friends have told me that the only thing that actually keeps them moving and looking forward to is their Sunday break. I would go green with envy when they told me they’ve gotten good jobs in good companies. But it seems that they envy me more when they found out I’ve another year to go before I start working. If some of you did not know, I’m leaving to China by mid-August to take up Chinese Language course. Yes, I’m definitely taking up the piece of advice everyone has been telling me: “Enjoy life while you can before you start working.”

Ok. Enuf of this emo talk. Back to graduation day in Marriott IOI Putrajaya Hotel. While we’re all seated in the hall with Professor Brian Atkins giving out a memorable speech (not really listening to him the whole time though), mum suddenly pops up out of nowhere to take my pictures. Thank god that camera is an SLR so she somewhat blends in with the rest of the professional photographers from our uni. Or else I’d need to dig a hole and bury my face…cuz she’s the only parent that came up to the front to take photos. Anyway, it was STILL pretty embarrassing as most of my friends recognize her. Siok Kin, whom was sitting beside me, comforted me saying, “Don’t worry dear. She’s doing this because she loves you.” Yeah I know that. But…can’t she do it LATER?? Anyway, all of us had a good laugh about it later on.

Later that evening, we went back to our campus to snap more pictures. Mum went home early as she needs to send my sis to tuition. It was really nice of Melvin’s family to provide me with transport to uni and back home. I felt sorry for his mum as the bouquet of flowers she bought for Melvin was stolen by some greedy people when she left it aside in the hotel. I did notice how unhappy she was... The bouquet costs her RM150 @.@ And they didn’t get to take the family portrait with the flowers yet at that time! sad huh

I hope all of us would be able to find time to hang out some time soon again. I will absolutely cherish all the wonderful moments... =)

Went to Hennessy Artistry event later that night…which I will talk bout in the next post.

Sis and I. Get to watch the movie a month earlier, as the premier is around mid August. Lucky me! (I bet William is gonna be so jealous. lol.) We’re not allowed to write out any spoilers and reviews about it yet… all I can say for now is that I LOVE THE SHOW! Some parts were so moving it made my eyes water. >.<

It's cute to see robots have feelings too. I am also currently catching up with a Japanese series titled 'Zettai Kareshi' or 'Absolute Boyfriend'. It's about a girl, whom always failed in love, finally found the ideal man...the only thing is that he's a robot (created specially for her. And super darn good looking as well)! The robot somehow developed human feelings during the course with her; and meanwhile, she also finds herself in a love triangle between the robot and her childhood friend. Can you really accept a robot boyfriend? A robot that fulfills all your requirements?

In my case, I'd first need to find out how 'human' the robot exactly is. If it has feelings just like any humans....well, why not? haha! But so far with today's technology...I settle for humans. Thank you very much.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://jeannieliew.blogspot.com/2008/07/wall-es-press-screening.html' title='WALL. In other words, she call the people who possess these traits "hamsap" (=pervert). She also defined the colour red and yellow as hamsap colours! She then pointed out that Peter, whom was our supervisor for the Shell’s job and coincidently wore the colour red, actually fits the description (he’s an Indian for your information).

Sue stated that her lecturer forbids them to use the colour red or yellow for their website’s background colour because these colours are sexually arousing and thus the reason why they are usually used in porn websites. She added that these colours enhance human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure.

Peter’s eyes widen upon being described so. He then responded, “ ReALly? Then we should call this (pointing at the yellow asam laksa banner) HAMSAP laksa, (pointing at the yellow chicken rice banner) HAMSAP ‘kai fan’, (pointing at my yellow durian chendol), HAMSAP chendol, (and finally pointing at Sue’s Shell logo on her uniform) HAMSAP Sue!!”

All of us burst out with laughter. I almost choked to death with the ice kacang stuck halfway through my throat. He said it out so loudly that I can even spot customers sitting at the next table giggling along. They were very quiet and all ears throughout our whole conversation. Peter then remarked on Sue’s lecturer ‘amazing intelligence’ and that he makes a better lecturer himself.

I do think it’s weird to have these colours to be labeled so. Red… maybe yes…as the colour is associated with energy, passion, desire, and love. But yellow is definitely NOT!! That’s the colour of sunshine! And I perceive it as a very cheerful colour. =)

On our way back to our car, whatever things we came across with the colour yellow and red, he’d go “HAMSAP roti canai!”, “HAMSAP car!”, “HAMSAP Digi”, “HAMSAP KFC”….and it goes on and on and on. In the picture above were some naughty kids fighting over the controller. But they are not the worst yet. I've came across an even more rude kid in one of the carnival.

This is what I do when there were no customers around. Went to the Made of Honour movie screening held by Advertlets on the 17th June. A romantic comedy... and I'm soOo...in love with Dempsey's electrifying blue EYES! To me, the eyes are the most beautiful part of someone. Eyes do tell a lot...whether if you are happy, sad, or angry...they are the best detector for these moods. Eyes don't lie either...they can tell if you are feigning a laugh...they can tell a fake smile from a real one...and the eyes crease up in a genuine one. Overall, I find the movie very entertaining. I'd give it an 8/10 rating=) I won't be providing you with any spoilers here. So plz just head to the cinema and enjoy the movie! hehe.

Met quite some new blogger friends there. Also, a great way to spend more time with my old buddies, Kimberly and Lisa. I know. But you have to admit that the outcome of a happy ending leaves you feeling superbly satisfied.

Somehow, this led me to wonder…does ‘ever after’ really exist in reality anymore besides in movies and fairy tales? In our generation that is. It is saddening to know just how insignificant wedding vows have become with so many married couples ended up in divorce, thus resulting to family breakdowns. One of the main causes I suppose is that they think they have found The One, but only after their marriage. Someone they find more attractive than their existing partner. They ponder with the “if only” statements…. like “If only I met him/her before I got married.”

I do agree with the saying that, ‘Sometimes, timing rather than love decides who we end up being with – or without.’ Very few lucky people marry the loves of their lives. (I hope Im the lucky few! Haha!) The remaining majority marry the most suitable person who comes across their life when they are ready to settle down.

Meanwhile, the not-so-lucky people, who fall under the majority category, they have the choice to either risk their marriage (and pray hard that the so-called The One would really be The One) or try to make an effort to make things for the better (and miss the opportunity to a perhaps very happy relationship if all efforts made failed). Life is like all about making bets huh?

Made Famous

I was made famous overnight (See picture below). My daily activities practically involve:

- watching anime/tv series/movies/news
- girls-day-outs (the guys also my 'ji-muis' XD)
-hv lunch, dinner, supper (If u realize, I don't hv breakfast. Thanks to my abnormal sleeping hours. Sleeping at 5am n waking up at 12pm. A habit developed during my final examinations...and im still practicing it. So yeah...im officially a nocturnal creature)

- shopping (window shopping to be exact. Im broke ever since I got back from Singapore)
- sleeping

- reading novels and girlie mags.

- bathroom singing (I pity my neighbours. Some more I take very long to shower. Wahaha!)

- paint nails (less frequent these days. I used to be obsessed with nail arts!)
- and finally.....blogging! =D

Isaac Cheah has really good photoshop-ing skill I must say. I can see how 'busy' he is after exams until he starts making movie posters. haha! Most of his photoshop work are just so natural! And my god.....you should have seen the amount of crowd queing to get in. It's totally insane!! I guess there was like thousands of people there. Below is a picture of the scene taken by my sis. Sometimes I wonder why these people are still so enthusiastic about getting in despite the fact that it's already so packed inside. Upon seeing such crowd, I would probably just head back home to my condo's pool to swim instead.

While waiting for my sis having 'fun' (fun as in being sandwiched among the crowd), I had Daniel out to accompany me for lunch and do some catching up since he stays just around the corner. Daniel has taken more shots of the insane condition. Last Wednesday was indeed the very first time i set foot in Singapore after 22 years! A neighbouring country yet I've not been there. A friend once told me I should just take a bus down, pijak pijak the soil sikit, and come back right up to KL so I could proudly claim, " Oh yeah! I've been to Singapore already!" and save myself from the embarrassment. lol.

Like Hong Kong, I noticed travelling around Singapore is very convenient. And you just don't see traffic jams and dirty toilets! (I wish I'm a Singaporean) However, when it comes to lunch/dinner time......the foodcourts are all completely packed with people. We have to wait super darn long before we managed to find a place to sit! (I don't want to be a Singaporean already) So I guess the best way is either you don't eat during lunch/dinner hours or you stand in front of a guest table and PRESSURE them to eat faster. Hahahaha. But if wanna pressure of course pick those that are almost finishing already to pressure lar....

During the 2nd day of the trip, we spent almost the entire day in Orchard Road and Somerset. If I'm not mistaken, there are over (or probably more than) 20 shopping complexes around this area alone! By the end of the day, I can barely feel my feet already T.T

Mum & I. I can accept durian ice-cream but durian juice is just weird. *bleks*

That's all for now. Thanks to peer pressure. I felt like a complete outcast now that almost everyone i know have a blog. I've always find blogging to be a hassle. But since my finals are over (Hurray!! at long last)......oh well, lalala~

To start off, you people must be wondering what makes me labeled my blog 'I Dream of Jeannie'. (ok, I am not asking you to dream of me!) It was actually a title of an American sitcom that was first aired in the 60's. My mum's favourite tv show during her younger days and hence that's how my name comes about. Below is the logo for the tv series with Barbare Eden as Jeannie.

Now that I've started this blog, I'll try my best to constantly update it =) C ya!

PS: Josh! happy now?
